My Grandparents in Paris
My father’s parents were professional roller derby skaters. They traveled all over the US and Europe competing. My grandfather was even a stunt double for Mickey Rooney in a movie where he becomes a roller derby guy. This photo was apparently taken in Paris in the 40′s. I just love how stoked they are! They are the real deal in my eyes. When did it turn in to a bunch of tattooed ladies looking “tough?”.
