This store display made me laugh. I think it’s for a nail salon?
Anyway, lots of good things in the mix… working on a split zine
with Brian Maryansky– all black and white street photos. I think
it’s going to be a great zine! Will post here when it’s published and
ready to go! A couple of shows in the works as well– more soon!!!

This last weekend Matt and I were invited to a kids party/show. It was a chance for a lot of the punks to bring their kids (or little brothers and sisters) and all hang out together. Was such a nice event! I brought a light and did some portraits of everyone. SO much fun!

My father’s parents were professional roller derby skaters. They traveled all over the US and Europe competing. My grandfather was even a stunt double for Mickey Rooney in a movie where he becomes a roller derby guy. This photo was apparently taken in Paris in the 40’s. I just love how stoked they are! They are the real deal in my eyes. When did it turn in to a bunch of tattooed ladies looking “tough?”.

oh and please don’t rip this photo without permission. Thanks.

Be sure to stop by CREATIVITY EXPLORED. Creativity explored is a really great non profit visual arts center where artists with developmental disabilities create, exhibit and sell their art. Visitors are welcome to look around the place. I can’t tell you how inspiring this place is– TONS and TONS of paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures. I highly recommend spending some time there. Below are a couple photos taken from my phone. They do not include the gallery that is in the front of the building. Here is the link to their site if you’d like more information:

Hope everyone is well!
